Popular Post Lutalo
Video of DC Glydiators Capitol Wheel and Crab Cake Run yesterday shot by @Yanex87. This run took us through 30 miles of terrain around, and through the Great Acropolis where the current president is slowly placing the hangman's rope around his neck As the Glydiators traveled down the National Mall, we marveled at how empty it was. I have never in my life seen it this empty. People missing a month of pay right after Christmas can change a whole bunch. But, it was a welcome relief from the hazardous madhouse it is normally when we ride there; we had the whole place to ourselves Triple C was no touristy ride. This was a real DC ride. We covered NW, Arlington, Alexandria, Oxon Hill, SW, SE, and NE. We traveled through three of my old neighborhoods: Congress Heights, Anacostia, and Capitol Hill. We passed by the carryout where I used to buy Mambo Chicken Wings with fries after school most days. We also passed by at least two schools that I attended, and the residence where I lived as child; places I haven't seen in many years. I took note of what was the same, and what was different; like, the corner store in SE that used to be Cassandra & Felicia is now something generic and corny; the original owners named the store after their two children. I also noted that the house I lived in as a child had been painted and wondered if the cherry tree in the backyard was still producing fruit as we passed by. Triple C was fun, but for me it was also a meaningful trip down memory lane. This was no touristy trip. Can you dig it? One day I will have to do the same thing and go back to Toronto where I was born. It would be great to explore on an EUC and explore the areas where I used to hang out and see what they look like now.

Amazing how well these things work in winter conditions if you give them a chance.I'm back on the V8 while I wait for a new charger to come in, and my range on that is basically back and forth to work and not much more in January conditions.

The flood of memories that return are interesting. I remembered things like playing football 🏈 with my friends in front of the house. How much fun that was. Things that shape you, but you may have forgotten how much.
pico
Yes, it has been posted and she saw it. It is an inspiration for us as you said. We did not have the use of the gym this year and the winter in Montreal is awful. For the moment we are enjoying Mexico together but we can't wait to be back to "work" with our EUCs Who knows, my GF may inspire Olga and others... 6 hours ago, trya said: @pico, I don't remember if this video was posted on the forum before, but even if it did - it wouldn't hurt to re-post - this couple may definitely be a role model for you and your GF. Popular Post Girth Brooks
I just want to say thanks again to all of you content providers on here. Without you all, I really doubt I would have found this amazing hobby that has been fulfilling to me. I really needed a hobby that wasn't drinking with my buddies after work and on the weekends. I know I have found what I needed with EUCs. After getting a break in rainy weather this weekend I was able to ride both my wheels for a good bit, and it was gratifying after so many days of dreary weather. I can't imagine how much fun it's going to be once winter is gone. 4

Mike Sacristan
On my way home yesterday I did some offroad on a nearby meadow and then I went for a little spin on the BMX track nearby. Frozen soil + frozen grass + ice + snow made for some wobbly fun.

I still think your conditions are much worse and much colder. This was only -2c and all ice that I ride on is always sanded or salted. The Swedish tax system at work. I haven't slipped on ice once! I'm glad you enjoyed!

Jean (nhut)
Hello everyone ! Today, I tell you the origins of the community of Alsace. In 2015, on the electric scooter forum (also mono electric wheel), I proposed to bring together Alsace and Lorraine. The idea interested one of the Wheelers of Alsace (Serge). Finally, it was not done at that time, we decided each of our side to bring together the Wheelers of our region, Serge Alsace and me Lorraine and the Vosges. But in this anecdote I will only talk about Alsace. Serge then proposed a release in 2015 to the wheelers of Alsace, the 1st was a success, 8 participants to know that at that time there were very few Wheelers. During this year he organized 4 or 5 outings but at each exit there was less and less Wheelers then at the last they found themselves only at 2. I never knew what the reason was, but that same year there was another group with so many Wheelers. In this group I had contacted some but without any answer, they also never wished to meet Serge's group. No doubt their group was enough for them. Serge no longer having the motivation to regroup the wheelers of Alsace, in 2016 I decided to take over to organize other outings in Alsace but with the aim of inviting the wheelers of the different cities of the northern quarter and the Francophone countries close to Alsace (Germany and Switzerland), but also open to all those who wished there were not participating other than our regions. The first outing had a good success, between 20 and 30 participants. Then about 50 during the next and to finish not far from 80. In 2017-2018, I had to leave for various reasons. The sequel soon!
Bob Eisenman
Two videos comparing the source output from 360fly video with video stabilization softwares. The first video : compares the source 'unstabilized video' (the 360fly has no stabilization or internal gyros) with both Microsoft Hyperlapse Pro (at two different output resolutions) and the PowerDirector 16 stabilized video. view order on the screen is: source (white box) Hyperlapse default output PowerDirector 16 (stabilized, enhanced plus rotation correction) Hyperlapse lowest output size The second video is a side by side comparison of the source video and Microsoft Hyperlapse Pro at 1X speed (default resolution) Edited January 28, 2019 by Bob Eisenman

Bob Eisenman
I ride my Monster primarily to free myself from the Mass transit bus schedules when buying groceries. My rides to Boston or elsewhere are sort of a journey on a fascinating device that hasn't really caught on in popularity near to a local small college/University that advocates safety, bicycle ride sharing and a bigger personal transit goal for it's student body. I worked once in Boston on the same floor as a big name medical researcher and Mac advocate who had no tolerance for Windows software users whose down time , as compared to Mac's flawless performance , in the pre Windows XP and Windows 10 era, was often unpredictable. I'd probably buy a Gotway Monster battery (or 2 - each at $575) before I'd buy an iPad. One of my two 800 WHr batteries has a bad cell which limits charging the 1600 WHr power source to 78%. Although 'antbicycle' sharing (regular and electric assist) seems to have weathered the 'Bird' scooter purge from Boston and Cambridge, MA and are seen parked as far from Boston as Revere, they seem more likely to be parked as 'litter bikes' than as actively being ridden by people. Yesterday mornings cold ride to Boston from Salem started with a flyover of a pair of CH47 dual rotor helicopters and ended with a ride on the train which does the same commuting distance in 30 minutes while comfortably seated. The rail trail in Malden spans a distance of twenty minutes of riding. It starts near a Dunkin donuts and ends near a Best Buy and a parked Antbicycle at the trail signpost. Malden is a ten+ mile ride from my apartment and is the town adjacent to the newly constructed Encore Casino.
