DC Shoes Backpack for EUC

Has anyone else tried the EUC backpack by DC Shoes? My wife got me one for my Airwheel X8 from Amazon. The description said that it would fit my X8 but it definitely doesn't. So if you are thinking of getting one, make sure you don't have a wheel that's bigger than 14" or it won't fit. Cool bag though. I'm returning it and will be ordering an Airwheel brand backpack.

Thanks for posting this, I'd seen those backpacks and wondered about them. Do you know if you got the "big bag" or the "little bag" shown here?

Or maybe something different? These seemed pretty similar, just more prominent branding:

Hmm, that looks like a completely different bag. The problem with all these Chinese makers is that they counterfeit everything and aren't very specific with specs and brands even when they're not fake.

If they would actually show a 14-inch and 16-inch unicycle in the bag we would know whether it fits. BUT NOOOO!

I had been wondering about these backpacks as well - hoping someone who actually has/uses one might jump in here.  I just don't love the idea of dragging my euc behind me on a handle everywhere I go, and would rather carry it on my back.

I believe if you can find one big enough it will hang behind your back pretty low - and you know how heavy a wheel is so it would be I assume uncomfortable.  I've tried a Rollerblade branded shoulder type bag which did fit a small wheel but the strap does not have enough padding and it cuts into your shoulder so ti wasn't much good.  Anyway there is a briefcase holder that is like a backpack without bag so it's just an open type strap but it's a two shoulder affair and it holds the wheel up much higher at the top.  This works pretty well but still a wheel on your back is much bulkier than you might think - I tried my 16-inch and it works very well once you get it on your shoulders but getting it on is a bit tough - once on your back it's definitely much easier than carrying it by hand (for example I assume when hiking through unrideable areas).  Still I can't carry the 16-inch far.  I put the MTen on it and it's much better but still very bulky.  I got it from amazon - I'll try and find the brand.

I found it online - the brand is Think Tank (are we allowed to link the photo?)  It looks like I bought it last year in August 2014.

This photo show how it looks - although this guy should tighten it so it will hang higher up his back and it will be more comfortable - you can see it can hold a heavily loaded briefcase/bag by the handle.  It needs a minor modification to hold a wheel - but it will hang by the handle very securely like a good backpack.  Oh - wait, he did it wrong - you can see the clip, when done correctly that clip is covered by a flap and it is a very clean look behind your back - it is clipped like luggage plus strapped with velcro and very strong.

Think Thank Shoulder Harness V.2 - my search came up with 3 results and also at amazon.

You can imagine and picture your favorite wheel secured upon his back can't you?

But since I went this far, I have to give my opinion that I prefer a trolley handle.  If you need to be hands free though, then the shoulder harness is just wow!  Maybe you're trekking in the wilderness and you have to cross a boulder strewn creek?  Of course on most any other trails you'd ride the wheel because you're just that good, but on those certain occasions in-between trails or maybe you're saving the charge.  Then the shoulder harness might just be your ticket...

Here are my solutions:

For the 16" IPS: I tried a shoulder strap (the leash that came with the EU) but even with a pool noodle wrapped in duct tape it cut into my shoulder. The 30 pounds is a stone (2?) for slinging on one shoulder. So I took two straps from an Army surplus ruck sack, and with the help of a shoulder strap from another bag with nylon clips, I attached the backpack straps to the handle and the holes in the pedals. The triangle of foam padding I put on the side of the EU is a nice back pad.

For the 14" TG T3: I had another bag from an army surplus that was a canvas courier bag. With the EU in it, the top doesn't close enough for the Velcro to catch, so I put two grommets on the front pockets and use bungee cords to hold the top shut. The TG weighs a little less so it is tolerable on the shoulder. This bag has nice pockets for charger, gloves, pads, etc. I can pack a piece of foam behind the EU to pad the surface against my back it it really isn't that bad without it.

For both setups my helmet clips on.

@wm_rain - it is a nice bag, but you need 36cm at least for the 14" tire alone and the euc is usually wider because of the shell and the sides are very bulky with folded pedals.  Eucs are an odd shape to carry.

very nice setup.  I like that bag, looks like it can hold ammo as well.

Your Texas is showing!

Had to drop off motorcycle for inspection, then off to work: was an opportunity to put my wheel harness to use. Kept it snug enough so it didn't wiggle on turns.
