Jason McNeil
Interesting Google News alert today about the HK laws stiffing innovative tech, citing the Electric Unicycle as a prime example. Interesting that the Author cities EUCs before eBikes in the example. In most countries eBikes outsell Wheels on a scale of at least 10:1. http://www.ejinsight.com/20180426-lack-of-reform-spirit-shackling-hong-kong-in-tech-era/ One example is the electric unicycle or electric bicycle, which has long been used in foreign countries. The invention, which is actually not new anymore, is still banned from roads in the city because our bureaucrats insist that they fall under the category of motor vehicles. Under the existing law, all motor vehicles must be registered with the Transport Department before they can be put to use on Hong Kong’s roads. But while authorities have taken an unreasonably tough stance on electric unicycles and bikes, they simply look the other way when it comes to electric wheelchairs for the disabled. A bit different scenario when dealing with the disabled. You could diversify further and start selling wheelchairs, umbrellas and little old lady mannequins. Hatchet
The gov't is never the solution. What %$#@ is a gov't doing micro managing how people move around outside of vehicles anyway? Americans are so lucky you have liberty and a constitution (used to, anyway)

Maybe that's the answer, two wheels. (Even if they are side by side) Hey, it's a real short wheelbase electric bike. Removed the seat and handlebars to save resources. The dual suncovers are nice. How could you ticket and fine a guy that is pushing an old lady in a wheel chair? Even cops have a heart! ?
