  1. I was sick and tired of the gotway style plugs (veteran too) that dont work from day one. I think my inbound scooter even has a pair of these style sockets. So, I grabbed some Tpu and made some up. They fit really tightly and look cool too. This is somewhat of a test run as I don't know how they will behave in extreme temperatures or over time. Tpu is a flexible and abrasion resistant urethane. I have printed a bunch of these up and would like to get some of these out into the wild to see if its worth my time to offer them past this first few batches. Being the first batches, I'll send them at a reasonable price, altho I cant avoid shipping costs, sorry. I have them available in all the colors below. The darker red is NinjaTek(a USA made Tpu) and seems a little more durable than the others, tho I doubt its of much consequence. I removed the outer edge in compare to the stock plugs. I found it looks more sleek, but I can add that to more closely resemble stock, upon request. I'm thinking that $12 for 3 standard or $14 for 3 of them in NinjaTek (free shipping to continental USA) is a fair shake. Mix colors, if you want. I know typical wheels have only 2 ports to cover at most, but it is a good idea to have extras. I dont think you will have issue with them breaking, but it can be a chore to put them on and I'd hate one to be ruined and you not have enough. If anyone is interested, just shoot me a PM. If everyone feels I'm just wasting my time, feel free to let me know that too. I'm not out to get rich or take advantage of anyone, so if we find these are problematic, I'll do my best to 'sort it out' so that noone feels mistreated or abused. Thanks!
  2. I asked the same question on reddit, but I'm interested to see what the forum people have to say. I know @Marty Backe wants tilting headlights, I would like to see suspension. So far some responses have been: -Waterproofing (I guess better since it's currently pretty splash proof, but mostly without official ratings) -Lighter wheels -Easier ways to change tires -No cut offs -Open source EUC controllers
  3. Toronto's been hit with a lot of flooding. I've been through some rough weather with the MSX and it's hold up. After gaining knowledge of how low the motherboard sits my first solution was to duct tape around the edge of that casing to lower water getting in. Has anyone done any mods on waterproofing/resisting the msx? @Marty Backeshare your wisdom please
  4. When refer to waterproof and heat radiation for EUC,there are many players interest to the waterproof function. But when face accident ,they will be recall heat radiation for EUC maybe much more improtant. Meanwhile this manily reason cause accident are many factor include player and production. In my opinion,I will choice which onne is better in heat radiation such Rockwheel GT16.I am suggest that riding in rainy day. Waterproof is not good for heat dissipation and also that is not safe riding in raining or wet places.Even you can riding in rainy day that will destory your EUC for not so long .Do you know why?
  5. Ive been riding my ips zero day n night, sunny days, rainy days on cement/paved roads and dirt roads. It has performed all times until yesterday. Coming home after a 4km ride in rain I couldnt turn it off. Figured it was water making it way into the interior and shortcircuit the power. Since I live 3 stairs up I decided ill just carry it up. lifting it up made the wheel alarm go on and since only way to turn it off is to push the powerbutton... that didnt work... 4 hours later the button still didnt work and I had coverd it with towels and laundry and a big paperbox and the alarm still went through all that and messed up my head. So I start opening the damn thing while alarm still going BEEEP! Once i got the cover off WHOA, that noise is loud. I was being attacked by my cats aswell as trying to figure out how to stop the sound, for some reason they reacted more aggressive towards me instead of the source. Pulled off the on/off button but that didnt do anything. then I started disconnecting the bigger cords to find which cord led to the speaker. It took bout 10-15 seconds of that sound then i had to cover it up and get some ear protection. I dont know what devilish design those alarm are on the zero but its loud. (btw its the small yellow pin connector at the top that goes to the speaker). I still have a small ringing in my ears now. So now I got a smashed cover (couldnt handle unscrewing while listening) and a broken power button. Decided to try it by just connecting the on/off wires today and... the thing works. Just have to fix some new casing and new power button and it should be good to go. Figured I share my story if anyone else happens to come in same situation. if powerbutton fails, DO NOT LIFT IT UP! just let it dry out and then try the power button again. I was ready smash the thing to pieces with a hammer if pulling the cords didnt work, Im glad I didnt have to.

  7. I wonder if anyone has taken the wheel apart on a kingsong 18 , was it sealed with silicone ? or can water enter inside. If so then I will seal the wheel with silicone , maybe I can do it from the outside so I dont have to unscrew everything
  8. Hi, I have just gotten my KS18A. I have learned how to drive it and now I would like to start using it for my main transportation device to work. It is February and I live in Finland so the streets are filled with melting snow. Basically I would be driving on a 14km long puddle to work. How waterproof is King Song 18" A 800w 680wh? Can I trust that it wont short circuit or something when i use it in these conditions? How can I better my devices waterproofing (please share your tips)? Thank you community for all your help!
  9. How Watertight (waterproof) is the Gotway MCM4 High Speed? I was eucing today and about 3km from home it started to rain , so i was riding back at the rain! So can we ride on the rain?
  10. Hi, This is my first post... I'm aged at level 41, close to a level up and weighting about 90kg. A year ago, I did testdrive the Solowheel, now I will finally order my first wheel. It is mainly meant to replace the car on short distances and live along with the car, in order to accommodate for distance parking.... Even considered using it for the commute to my workplace, but frankly, that would be suicide :-( Currently, after reading this forum for hours, I tend to a KingSong 14C 800W 680WH. Although I'd like a bigger wheel, it shouldn't take any place in the trunk of the car... As I understand, non-Asians should take the stronger motor, therefor I tend toward the 800W version. What do you think about that choice? Locally I could get both Solowheel and Ninebots. Second question, what about rain? Are there any known problems with water and EUCs? I saw one youtube video with I think two KingSongs riding in a pond, about 10-15cm deep. Confused T'Gellan
  11. Hey Folks, I have a couple questions: -Are King Song units waterproof enough for use in the rain? I see that some of the gaps appear to be sealed with foam around the control board in disassembly photos----I was wondering if the same goes for the battery compartment. -How easy is it to get replacement parts for these units? Especially new batteries after the first one starts to degrade with use? Thanks, -Jacques
