  1. I just got a new shell for my V8. I would love to be able to protect it from scratches somehow (without using the cover that came with the wheel), keeping the LEDs visible. So that got me wondering if anyone has ever tried Clear Vinyl Wrap on their V8 or V10 (or if anyone has ever used it for something similar): https://www.amazon.com/s?k=clear+vinyl+wrap&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 Do you guys think? Would help to prolong the shell's life? Would it be a nightmare to install?
  2. Dear all! I had the chance or bad luck to learn how to ride an ewheel on an Inmotion V10... it's now badly destroyed... I have to replace inner & outer plastics... I ordered all spare parts except screws... I'll be grateful to anyone who can let me know how to find a set... Ride safe! JC
  3. Has anyone added any padding to their V8/V10? I am determined to add some but I'm not sure where.... or how.... or when.... Is your V8/V10 padded? Show us a picture!
  5. Dear InMotion: * Your Android App is horrible! * Horrible, horrible, garbage! * It makes me want to avoid your company * Please make an app that reflects the quality of your wheel. * Please make a fully English version, not just Chinese. * This will be required before you get an additional $2000 from me. Please release a new app for the upcoming V11! (one that supports the V5, V8 and V10 as well)
  6. I need a small piece that clamps the trolley handle to the EUC. Picture pushing the trolley handle down and it snaps into a piece. That is the piece I need. One side of that piece is broken. It looks like that piece is only held in place by 2 screws.
  7. Hi guys. The original trolley bar on my v10 is uncomfortably high for me (I'm a rather short person), and just shortening it would not help with manipulation (a vertical bar...). So I thought about replacing it with a custom one that would be both a bit shorter and locked at a smaller angle. I don't see how could I modify the existing hinge to lock earlier (and I'm reluctant to pry it open without being sure I can put it all back together). So, I'm looking for a replacement, but I have difficulties with finding some usable hinge that I could use. Have anyone tried to do something similar or do you have an idea what to use? This picture gives a better idea of what I mean. (A) is the original one, (B) is the desired result (roughly, don't read too much about angles and sizes from it). Thanks.

    LIGHT EFFECTS

Wondering if anyone knew how to apply (inmotion calls it “transfer” in the application) the light effects to the wheel. I can “preview” inmotion’s default light effects but can not get anything to apply (er, transfer) to my V10. I have turned on the light effects elsewhere in the application and the lights work (the spinning red / teal / blue that the wheel defaults to), but that’s it. The DIY effects is also “grayed” out so I can’t even customize my own. I know I’m connected (it finds my wheel, the other features work). When I try to apply any of the six (or so) light effects I get “pop up” telling me to keep the wheel upright and try again. The wheel is upright and I’ve tried the obvious - moving it, holding it, turning it off, resetting the app, connecting the wheel first, manually disconnecting the blue tooth, etc). I know one of you experts will have the trick... thanks in advance!!!! bradley
  9. So... I’m having a hellacious time with my IM V10 and the penchant the wheel seems to have for wanting to throw me off the back thereof. Some basics - it’s a brand new (well it now has a few miles) wheel (my first) and I purchased it from the awesome folks at ewheels. I am getting comfortable with my wheel - actually tightening up my turning and practicing free mounting (a big deal for me, but definitely getting it!). I went out for a long (for me) ride today of about two miles. I purposely challenged myself with right and left turns, hilly road (about two hundred feet of 5-6 percent grade. I am quite sure I must look drunk and a bit silly (think arms flapping about and a panicked look, albeit with a smile). So yes, I’m very much a rookie, but I’m making progress and definitely understanding the dynamics of riding. My issue though - I am VERY frustrated with the feeling that my wheel keeps pushing back against me. I have read enough posts to understand the imposed tilt back of the wheel from speed (I had mine limited at the default 16MPH but upped it based on suggestions from a few of the veterans in this forum for diagnosis). i also understand that the wheel will throttle me if it’s stressed (battery, steep grade or hitting a top speed) but I keep getting tilted back without any real reason. In other words, I’m not hitting my max (limited) even or close to it speed, I’m near 100 percent charged, and I’m riding on level (or at least no perceptible) grade. This is seriously frustrating me and totally undermining my confidence in the wheel. The tilt is sometimes pretty severe (like, “oh crap my calves hurt pushing back and I’m scared that I’m gonna get knocked on my ass”) and sometimes relatively gentle (like a beep first and then a tilt back - which I can understand when I hit the speed limit). Buuuuuuut..... again, this happens at speeds that are WAY BELOW the limit. Sometimes I get the warning beep (like if I do hit the max speed) and sometimes I don’t. I just can’t establish a consistent association with the tilt back and my riding dynamics or the established reasons for tiliting me (speed, grade, battery reserve). As I said, I am very much a beginner and definitely don’t mean to fault the wheel for something I am doing wrong or overlooking. A few people have suggested recalibration of the wheel and another suggestion was a possible bad board. For me, graduating to a more comfortable, confident and stable style feels really elusive with the wheel arguing with me. I’m hopeful that you pros out there can offer insight and help me diagnose this. Is it possible that something is wrong with the wheel? I have poured over the inmotion app (IT REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!!!) but haven’t discovered anything that makes a difference from a settings standpoint. One other thing I noticed... the wheel already had a “username” associated thereto when I registered the serial number through the application (and I haven’t been able to change it). Almost like someone else owned or at least registered the wheel before I did???? Again, I bought the wheel brand new (ewheels) and don’t suspect that it was anything but virgin, but it is weird, right? Figured that would be meaningful for you to know... or someone else has experienced the same application issue? Maybe Inmotion gives them names from the factory???? Everything else feels pretty good to me (I can free mount, not gracefully, but I’m getting there; I can turn left and right, I can navigate crappy surfaces - though grass and dirt still confound me, I can go up and down grades... I’m playing with turning radius stuff and trying to tighten stuff up, etc). Just getting my proverbial hind quarters kicked by this inconsistent tilt back stuff. Help!!!!! 😃 PS - I am not too proud to be told I’m doing it wrong - I just want to open this wheel stuff up (as in become a great rider and advocate for this amazing thing!) and feel really stifled by the issue. Any insight would be Oh - I have about five total miles (the horrid app say 25.553 miles - NO WAY!!!), one full charge cycle, three hours total on the wheel. I’ve dropped it a few times but nothing noteworthy. I haven’t ridden it off road (just parking lots and side streets and a very humbly attempt at grass / dirt). I weigh 170 pounds and have 35-38. PSI in the tire. The prevailing temperatures during all my riding has been in the 50-65F range (no rain). Not sure if you need any more info, but, of course I’m happy to provide. Sorry for the long post!
  10. I have ridden the InMotion V8 with the original V8 pedals for around 9000 km and with the V10 pedals for around 2000 km. This is a quick comparison of the pedals. Specs, V8 vs V10: Pedal length: 212mm vs 241mm Pedal weight: 650g vs 1100g (for both pedals) Surface: grip tape vs rubber V8: the grip tape is not very durable^1 and not very grippy when worn down, which takes only a few 100 km for me. The pedal position is somewhat more V-shaped on the new wheel, which is to me a little less comfortable, but pedals lose their shape over time anyway^2. When riding on loose ground, the pedals seem less forgiving by allowing less control against unintended sideway turns of the wheel. V10: the rubber gives reasonable and predictable grip and is much more durable. The pedal size is more comfortable for my size 10 feet. One pedal has broken apart after 2000 km. The same problem has been observed by others^3. Overall, I'd definitely prefer the comfortable V10 pedals for their size and surface durability, if they would not break . With the experience of breaking, the V10 pedals are not a viable option anymore, at least not for me. ^1 https://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/6483-v8-pedal-durability/ ^2 https://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/10542-v8-pedals-lost-v-shape/ https://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/13649-v10v10f-pedals-drooping-how-to-fix/ ^3 https://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/13223-broken-pedal/ https://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/13649-v10v10f-pedals-drooping-how-to-fix/
  11. Hello, My V10F has stopped completely working after a forward adjustment. It basically results completely disconnected from motor (does not self balance vertically after you turn it on). Things I have tried: Factory reset Clear cash Do again forward adjustment Multiple times on and off Any help would be highly appreciated please. It seems I am completely unfortunate with me wheel, or I am not able completely to understand the app. Thanks a lot
  12. Hi, i recently bought a V10 but the charger is not doing it’s job. Just looking for someone around with a V10 charger so that i can try to charge and se whether it is a charger or battery issue. I live in Perth. Thanks guillaume
  13. I hope to encourage @Bobwheel and Inmotion/Solowheel to share more info on the new V10 gen. app for android. Of course, some development updates/ info and expected release date would be nice to know too. As for features, can someone confirm if this app will support any tope of smart watch/wear type to show speed and maybe even a horn/bell option. The last part is high on my interest list due to road legality/ traffic laws.
  14. Increasing the max speed of V10 from 40km/h to 45km/h using the app DarknessBot can damage the hardware?
  15. Dear all! I had the chance or bad luck to learn how to ride an ewheel on an Inmotion V10... it's now badly destroyed... I have to replace inner & outer plastics... I ordered all spare parts except screws... I'll be grateful to anyone who can let me know how to find a set... Ride safe! JC
  16. Hi guys, I currently own a KS14D (420Wh), and I am looking to upgrade my wheel. I have narrowed down my choices to the V10 and KS16B. I have tried looking around in the forum for the comparison between them, but it was to no avail. I am able to get one of these for roughly the same price (V10 - S$1,050 and KS16B (840Wh) - S$1,000) so the cost isn't really a comparison factor. I will mostly be using it to travel around campus, and more importantly, for my part-time job as a food delivery rider. As such, there will be very minimal off-road riding (mostly on pavements only). I am more concerned about the max range (as I work relatively long hours during weekends, and the KS14D was only able to last for around 25 km), overall riding comfort, and "ruggedness" of the EUC. Can you guys help me decide which one I should get? I am around 55 kg (~121 lbs). Thanks in advance!
  17. Dear All, Please help me find a solution for my InMotion V10 problem. It enters in a trepidation mode each time I try to move it by the handle and also when riding it on low speeds (like when turning and starting the ride) I contacted also In motion service but I dind not revive any reply (except the automatic reply) See link of the video https://youtu.be/GbhRueyOMSo Thank you and relay apreciate any feedback and solution! 18. Hello All! Patiently awaiting delivery of the V10 🤞 (yay) ... In the interim, I've been doing a bit of research on charging options. I understand the supplied charger takes approximately 5 hours to recharge from empty. However, I've seen talk online of so called "fast-chargers" that can reduce this time downwards. Can anyone offer any advice/guidance on this front, particularly relating to the V10? I've struggled to find any definite answers, a lot of talk around Gotways but nothing concrete for the Inmotion. I've seen talk around 4V/5V chargers but it's a little beyond me if I'm honest right now. Really appreciate any advice, guidance, links etc and particularly what type of charging time someone could expect if such a charger exists. Thanks all! 😄
  19. It seems that there was no appropriate place for homebrew stuff, so I figured that this would be the appropriate place, as it's InMotion specific. I was working on one of my other projects, when I figured it would be a great time to go off on a tangent, and design a suitable stand for my V10F. This is the end result: I finished the setup with a section of carpet tile under the base. If you need a relatively low friction surface, and don't want to scar up your smooth floors, this seems to be the most appropriate option. On a side note... If the footpads for the V5/V8 are in roughly the same location, it may work for those models as well. I'm also working on another nifty little accessory that may be useful in the future, too.
  20. UPDATE 23 11 2018 Black Friday special I'm using the same page and links for previous 1111 special event, prices doesnt change a lot +/- 20$/20euros The biggest day of promotions and flash sales in China, the 11-11, will of course bring many offers on import sites such as Aliexpress, Gearbest, and many others. Coupons are vouchers or discount codes on products. To obtain them, simply create an account on which the coupons will be registered for the corresponding purchase. Either they are generalized to the site (for example 10% reduc on the whole site), or they are specific to a product. At Aliexpress it will for example simply add the object to the basket and wait for the date 11-11 to get the price when you order. At Gearbest, a "deposit" system whose amount can be multiplied by three and thus give a very interesting final price. Deliveries in 5 days are expected. If you need a specific product (other brands, or drones, phones, electronics, sports camera), you can contact me in private message. As an affiliate, I have access to all promotions, coupons / discount codes, flash sales dates & times, and more, from the entire catalog of following sellers and resellers: Gearbest- Aliexpress-GeekBuying-TomTop-EBay-BangGood-DHGate-LightintheBox-JoyBuy as well as an Alibaba YoyBuy agent. My site gathering all the brands in promos is soon ready (november 5), but I will post all the promos until November 14th. Some sellers have not yet given discounts (On Aliexpress, but you can add the product to the cart while waiting for the discount, there is a small yellow star) The prices given may vary, either because of the price of the dollar or because the seller simply changes the price. There are also errors, coupons that are not yet activated on the seller side (example segway ES2) The peak of the promos is of course 11-11. Of course, it is necessary to disable Adblock for two reasons, my cookie identifier for my%;) but also for the promotional offer to appear well. (adblock blocks advertising images and promotional offers are often in an image with a link and a cookie) Prices are already in promotions, but not all, it will come back every day to see the new prices, the expected flash sales every 4h at Gearbest, for example. 21. Hi Guys, So here's my dilemma... I've recently purchased the Inmotion V10, found a great deal on Gearbest that actually left me with some money left over from my budget. (Wahooo!) Now... the V10 is a big machine (at least on the larger side of EUC's) and weighs around 20.5kg (admittedly, it comes with a handle so has alternative manoeuvrability). I will do a majority of my riding in a small town day-to-day for short rides, and will take it out to parks, reserves etc for the longer trips out. It's likely to be an 80%/20% split I suspect. I have just spotted a time-limited deal for a new Inmotion V5F for a staggering £269 ($350) delivered(!). Cheapest I've ever spotted it. It was my original choice prior to finding the deal on the V10 I eventually went with. Do many people here have/use multiple EUC’s for different occasions? With the V10 on order, and due to be delivered to me in December at some stage, am I just hooked to buying EUC’s or do you think there is a valid case for having a larger and a smaller unit? I'm thinking maneuverability, stopping speed etc particularly for the inner town rides (I’ve ruled out the V8 purely because deals aren’t as great value right now on this unit. V5F and V10 have some cracking deals going as we speak!) Interested to hear your thoughts!
  22. I just saw a video on YouTube where the latest firmware for the InMotion V10F causes a huge noise during power up. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I'm about to get my V10 soon and this is worrisome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0wSI9ocqFk
  23. Hi guys, I am totally new to electric unicycles. I have recently (last Thursday) received my inmotion V10F. I am trying to learn now slowly how to balance on it. I have a couple of issue with the wheel that I thought some more experienced users may have already encountered: LED lights keep flashing red. I cannot apply any of the light effect. I get an error like "Light effect failed"; What worries me the most is the fact that if I push the button on the handle bar, the wheel starts spinning like crazy until the wheel shuts down, instead of disconnecting from motor (which is what I guess it should be doing). This behavior scares me a lot because first I cannot trust the wheel 100%. What if it goes in that mode while I am trying to ride it? Any idea on what I can do to test and troubleshoot the two points above? Thanks a lot for your help
  24. The InMotion V10 is improved over the V8 in almost every aspect as described in this review, and I am excited to try out the wheel soon! Apart from the obvious (power, range,...) I highly appreciate the notably improved pedal ground clearance, the slim shape and the wider tire. Yet, two specification parameters have become notably worse. The weight went up by 7kg from 13.5kg to 20.6kg and the overall wheel size increased notably by 8.5cm in height and 7cm in length (the width increased by only 1cm, which is highly appreciated). (source) These specifications attract users towards the high-end range: those who went in the past for the Msuper instead of the V8. But will they also attract the "mass market", the millions of not-yet EUCers, those users who went for the V8 instead of the Msuper in the past? I have my doubts and I couldn't recommend it to the potential newcomers I know of. Personally, I may still buy the V10, but I am also desperately waiting for a wheel which supersedes the V8 in all its specifications, or at least doesn't fall behind. This is certainly much more challenging to develop (more power, more range, larger pedals, better light, a USB port, a wider tire and yet lighter and not larger), but this is where technological improvements should take us.
