  1. Is this normal when charging any EUC that the board is vamping/draining the power to itself? I've noticed on several occasions that the wheel stays "on" after charging. First encounter I had taken a break from riding the EUC a couple of days and left it on the charger; when it came to ride it had drained itself from 100% to maybe 77%. I thought I might of not had the stock charger plugged in all the way. I did this another time and the power brick was GREEN and it had gone from 100% to a lesser amount sitting on the charger. Another time I entered into the room the 16X was charged and unplugged [ I had checked on the app to make sure its percentage and voltage was full] early in morning and could see a red light coming through the case. So I cycled the power to ON then off.. and then the red light was gone.
  2. Hoping someone might be able to chime in on what Ninebot/Segway uses for the BMS. I have a es1 with the dual battery setup however I would like to add extra power for range. via craigslist i bought two broken es1 and the battery packs look fine, voltage was putting out 35 on both packs however the 4pin which i thought was balancing leads dont put out anything on the multi-meter. Off the top of my head I was thinking just pop them in parallel and somehow disable regen but... since I dont know the BMS or how to tap into it i held off. open to ideas =) thanks!
  3. This is the consumption distribution [Wh/km] I have recorded for my V8 over the last 2900km (rider weight ~80kg, all are round-trips). How to read this: I have been riding 150km overall consuming below 12Wh/km, 500km consuming below 14Wh/km, 1400km consuming below 16Wh/km etc. When I go from A to B on flat terrain at 20km/h I am at the low end of the spectrum, ~11Wh. Usually I am above that, because I have some moderate hills to climb (30-100m difference in altitude per trip). When I am fooling around practicing quick turns, braking, slalom etc I am at the high end of the spectrum, ~19Wh. I also computed the range distribution from these data, assuming I can use 400Wh of the nominal 460/480Wh battery. For example, 80% of the time/trips I am riding with a range of at least 22km, 50% of the time/trips with a range of at least 25km, 10% of the time/trips I could ride 30km, etc...

Hello, French Wheeler, but not as good as some other, I had a bad accident (broken shoulder, now with some metal!!) with my small ninebot one E+... and I spent some time in order to understant why we face cut out or accidents. So, on the forums, I could recognize 4 kind of accidents : 1- Pilot did ignore alarm.... nothing to say.... too optimistic, 2- driving accident (bumps....), 3- Sudden cut off.... (looks like my accident, but I'm not sure it wasn't a technical failure), 4- Technical failure. Rare since construcors did improve the safety...or correct bugs (BMS for instance). For the point 3, I did some calculation, that shows that specification of constructors seems to be far too optimistic, and the speed alarm does not consider the wheight of the pilot... which has a huge impact. What I did consider is a common case of accident : you run on flat road, no alarm, straight... and you have a small slope (not big, couple of meters long!). So immedialtely, since you do not consider you have to slow dow, your Wheel has to give all power in order to maintain the speed during the slope. In this condition, considering a 10% slope (not big at all, it is a 6° angle road), what is the maximum speed you can run? I did consider air drag, which has a big influence over 30 km/h), the solpe that I consider as a safety margin, and the wheight of the pilot. The power was considered as constant whaterver the speed is (optimistic), and, since nobody know the duration of the peak's power, 0,5 second for this peak (which is only use for bumps in fact!). Yield of the Wheel in order to transform electrical energy to mechanical energy is estimated at 75% (tests on some gotways). What do we calculate show that with a 500 W, at 25 km/h, you're not save at all... except if you are a kid. On a gotway ACM our MS3, 45 km/h is not a realistic speed since air drag consume most of the power... What do you think? Conclusions : - Power, and slow speed is the key for safety... - Adapt speed limit cosidering your wheight, - If you want to keep the hight speed limit, go quiet, and in all case, use protections!!!   5. My question is for riders who have tested the same model while fully charged with different sized batteries. Did the bigger battery increase acceleration, power, and/or weight?
  6. Would love it if anybody could give me a clue on some things to check on my rockwheel, I pressed power button and got nothing, so I figured I just need to charge it. When I plug in the charger, the indicator light on charger stays green. I unplugged the charger and pressed power button, and I have a fading beep sound and charge indicator drops to empty almost immediately. Any ideas, I left it on charger for 30 minutes, light remained green on charger the whole time and when unplugging and then pressing power...same thing. Battery seems to not have charged more than the beeping and light that immediately goes off. By the way, the battery was great before and still was holding full charge.

I think people in this community would be interested in alternative transportation technologies. http://www.ehang.com/ehang184/specs/ The price to pay for adding another dimension of motion and 2Xspeed and 1/4Xriding time: 100X more power (over gotaway MCM4's 1500W peak power), 50X more battery capability (over my 340Wh); ???Xmore in cost; nearly 100% certainty of death for a "faceplant",and you can't "drive" it yourself. 1h of charging time (for 17kWh battery) is quite impressive - I guess for a non Tesla owner.
  8. christmas wish: 5000 Watt motor , 4000 wh battery 100v , double strengt circuit , 18 or 22 inch wheel , skateboard grip and all this extra power to secure safety when breaking hard , for hills , pottholes , high speed , with max speed locked to 40 kmh Hulk wheel
  9. Hello, Looking for ideas to charge our wheels faster. i've seen that charge doctor 2 seems to be able to charge faster with two charger but to me (newbie) this still sounds a bit complex. I got an ACM16 and an MCM4HS and looking at the charger it's exactly the same: DC 67.2 1.75A So i guess my MCM340 is charging in about 2h30min, the ACM16 820mh is charging in about 6h. I am looking to possibly do a long trip with one of those but don't know yet which one i will take. I will probably do a lot of km and will need to charge on the road finding points to recharge, probably while visiting the area. MCM 340 will get me probably 25km-30km max (90kg + bag 5-8 kg) and then 2,5h to recharge fully ACM16 i believe will get me around 50km but will then require 6h to recharge fully (as mentioned in specs) Looking for doing 70-80km Anyone with a nice solution (no spare battery) would be great to be able to charge ACM16 faster. Would it be possible to use another charger for the ACM? If so what do you recommend? (i don't have spare battery) Or any other idea? Thanks a lot for your inputs/ideas
  10. I wanted a cooler power button, so I went ahead and added a toggle switch with waterproof cover and missile style security cover. Momentary toggle switch with waterproof boot Security Cover Its a tight fit and had to use my own washers as the ones the switch came with were too small. But it came out awesome and works perfect.
  11. Apparently all "face plants" are results of power fails. So that makes me think, there should be a way to make EU still rolling WITH gyro powered by back up battery. Since gyro is only to make things upright , it might not need a primary battery. Does this technology work that way? Or can it have a small back up battery just to kick in when main power quits, just for few seconds so we can stop safely without face plants. Segway must have something like that. We never heard of Segway related face plants.
  12. Hello! I just got an electric Mohoo Unicycle off of Ebay about a month ago. Yesterday, my husband hit a bump too fast. He hopped off and is fine, but the unicycle went head over wheel several times. The only thing broken is the power button. If you hold it down it totally works. Engages the battery and motor and everything. But if you don't keep your finger on the button it immediatley turns off. We've opened up the part with all the wires (no warranty on this one, so all repairs are up to us!), and all the connections seem fine. I am not an electrician... so I don't know much about what we're doing here. Hopefully someone on here has had the same problem and/or knows how to fix ours! Thanks! Ben & Anna
