  1. Hello Everyone! I'm new here and a Friend gave me his Ninebot ES2 because it doesn't work anymore. I have disassembled the whole thing and the main probem was overheating/melting of the three power cables, coming from the driver board, to the motor. I could fix those (not using plugs, but instead solder them directly), but the driverboard itselve has at least two blown parts, show in this picture: Can somenoe tell me what parts those are? Number one could be a smd transistor, like those above the microcontroller. About number two, i'm not so sure, it's an smd part
  2. Hello all, I'm disppointed with my ES2. I hadn't used it since february, so before stocking it, I charged it to 99%, then stocked it inside my house (not garage or elsewhere, so ambiant temp). Yesterday, I grab it and power it up, screen and ios app says 20% battery, so I charge it. When Battery hits 30%, ios app says "there is an update of bluetooth and other thing I don't remember", I clicked on "Update". The update went fine, the scooter shut down itself after update, like the app said, and I power it up without problems. When the battery hit 51%, ios ap
  3. Hoping someone might be able to chime in on what Ninebot/Segway uses for the BMS. I have a es1 with the dual battery setup however I would like to add extra power for range. via craigslist i bought two broken es1 and the battery packs look fine, voltage was putting out 35 on both packs however the 4pin which i thought was balancing leads dont put out anything on the multi-meter. Off the top of my head I was thinking just pop them in parallel and somehow disable regen but... since I dont know the BMS or how to tap into it i held off. open to ideas =) thanks!
  4. Hi, I have a Ninebot ES2 with around 300km done. Since day one there was a annoying noise produced by a metalic vibration when the speed is between 20 and 25 km/h. I took a look and I saw that leds under the scooter, in one side, are not aligned with the holes. Since the noise appears to come from the part of the scooter where I put my feet, I suspect something there is not well adjusted. So, is there a way to disassembly that part of the scooter? I didn't find anything in youtube... Thank you!
  5. Hi! Who can help to solve this mystery? My speed goes to 22kmh, I am 79KG, and I always drive in Red Sports mode. I want my ES2 to go to 34km/h. My configuration: ES2Lite but changed serial to a ES4 Custom firmware 5.5.1 (1.5.1) with speed 34KMH and motor power 48000 BME v 141 BLE v 104 External battery Regards M
  6. I purchased an ES2 and then added the supplemental battery. It was working properly on a daily basis, but the last time I turned it on the motor the accelerator stopped working correctly. Specifically, it feels likeit's trying to repeatedly apply the electronic brake rather than applying power to the motor. When I try to get the scooter up to speed to enable the accelerator, the speedometer shows incorrect, high numbers. There was very briefly an error code 18 flashing on the dashboard right when the problem started. I get the feeling the answer here is going to be, "look for a blow fuse and t
  7. Hi, Yesterday my ES2 started to feel wierd. It all happened when going downwill and started to brake. Immediately after applied the electric brake, the scooter turned off and I lost control of it while going downwill! Luckily I had a uphill on a left corner and no cars were there on the moment. After stop, clicked to turn it on and all seems fine. But not when riding, acceleration was slow and when using the electric brake, the drive hub started giving some crackling sounds. I was on sport mode. While riding home, lost acceleration and electrical braking. Although, the scooter turn o
  8. Hi everyone, This is my first post as a new owner of Ninebot ES2 purchased during 2018 Black Friday's. Upon switching on the scooter for the first time, I got a prompt to update the firmware, the current firmware is 1.2.9 but no where is mentioned what is the number of the new firmware. Here is a screen shot from the phone. Is it safe to update? What are the benefits of this update?
