  1. Hey all, I'm trying to determine if this is an issue with the latest firmware update, a problem with the control board, or another issue entirely. Most recently I have noticed that my Z10's center of balance is making more drastic changes at low speeds. When I start the unit up and begin making small movements, I can feel the sensor reset slightly and at times have had the footplate tilt back and forward a significant amount before slowly resetting. This isn't as extreme as the issue linked in the post below, but is significantly different than when I got the unit. Again it hasn't affected me too much at higher speeds. Is it possible for the control board to slowly wear out?
  2. Yet another Ninebot E+ board burnout (I think I'm on 5 or 6), luckily I have a spare control board which I grabbed from an old wheel whose rim fractured Looking at the photos below, can anyone explain what parts may have burnt out here and why? I seem to remember a previous burnout affected the same area on the board. The MOSFETS appear to have been unaffected - there was no lock up of the wheel movement. Interestingly, this control board died at very low speed and when not doing tricks - maybe some solder came loose and caused a short? I'm pretty please how long this board actually lasted - it's survived better than my shins
  3. A quick poll on control board failures - I would be interested in how common a problem this is.
  4. Have recently been bitten by the EUC bug and puchased a Ninebot One E+ couple of months ago. As I'm getting more confident, I am getting bored of the 20kph speed limit I'm getting from the Ninebot One E+ and was thinking if it is possible to swap the control board with this one: https://reseller.alibaba.com/product-detail/16-electric-unicycle-Controller-with-bluetooth_60288223259.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.VsHfbJ Have seen other threads where other users have been swapping their control boards with the one from Microworks purchased from Alibaba. Also wondering if the motor for the ninebot one has to be changed to this: https://wholesaler.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-New-Products-brushless-motor-16_60237639861.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.XfG3kt What do you guys think? Any other peripherals that have to be changed as well like hall sensor connectors or the like? Or if this hack is even possible? Appreciate your comments. Cheers
  5. Does anyone know where i can get control board for ips i130+ electric unicycle? I tried 3 different sites and they saying no
  6. Hello EUC community, I've started my EUC journey three month ago with a used e-run 14'' EUC and quickly found out I need something stronger and faster. I bought an IPS ZERO (340Wh) mid of February and got it delivered mid of March. In my third ride it broke - fortunately while I was holding on to a light post. I contacted the seller and after describing the facts, I received the information (full correspondence below): Control board is broken, he will send me a new one. One day later I got an other email stating that an exchange of the control board is not necessary: I should buy the MOSFETs in my country and replace them on my own! This is not acceptable! I asked IPS for help (email to manager@ipselectricunicycle.com on the 19.4.) but received no answer yet. I bought from IPS because of their good name and expected good quality. From my todays perspective I don't see either. Could you help me getting this issue solved? Best Regards Stefan My correspondence with the seller and IPS (read from bottom to top): Dear IPS Management, I've bought a brand new IPS Zero that stopped working after the first few kilometers. Contacting the Seller a few days ago (details below) I got the confirmation, that the control board is broken and they will send a new one. Today (19.04.2016) I received the Info I shall buy and replace the MOSfets on the control board (see correspondence below). This is not acceptable. I've bought a new IPS Zero for 699$ and want to have fun driving. I don't want to start getting an expert in taking it apart and fixing electronics. I hope that you can help me solving this issue. Also it doesn't charge. The wheel doesn't rotate free. It is not mechanical blocked, it feels more like it flips from one magnet to the next. My Ninebot E+ circuit/control board sparked, blew a fuse, caught on fire then burnt the circuit board. smoke everywhere...and of course my Ninebot no longer works:( From the photo below, it looks like the Blue & Yellow wire blew up.
