  1. Hi guys, Yesterday I went to work with my brand new inmotion v3 pro. Have ride it for an hour the day before just to get used to it and everything was good, except for the fact that in the end, while riding it looked like I was running over bumps even if the road was flat so today before to take it to the road I had the wheels inflated at the maximum (also the battery was above 90%). It looked like the bumps were ALMOST gone and the driving was more difficult because of the wobbling (i was also very tired). The main problem appeared on my way back home, I was often reaching the maximum speed so it would tilt back on the balance position to slow me down but after a bit it would definitively tilt back and start to run the wheels at maximum speed so I had to turn the power off. I restarted it and run a diagnose with the app. Everything seemed ok with the app teling me "the scv has reached its maximum output" which I dont know what it means but all the field of the diagnostic were in green so I jumped on and kept going. After 5 minutes it happened again and then happened a third time after which it wouldn't switch on anymore. The touchscreen is still sensitive but the wheel doesnt turn on. Im going to sleep now and I'll put it in charge. I hope to wake up tomorrow and find some helpful answers. Thank you very much. David
  2. Post-Crowdfunding You may have seen our Kickstarter campaign for Solowheel Brush at the beginning of 2018. We knew it was a long shot considering the size of the electric unicycle market, and sadly, we didn't reach our funding goal. So while the company may not be taking it into mass production, we feel for those who supported us because it’s a truly useful tool for overcoming the steeper learning curve for those learning to ride their electric unicycle for the first time, and we'd hate to see such a great idea go to waste. Since the brush was designed to be compatible with pedals on most other models out there in the market - not just InMotion or Solowheel - there might be an opportunity for someone else to pick up where we left off. Here's What We Can Offer We can provide the technical documents and vendor info at no cost, and we can also assist in placing production orders from anyone that decides to take the idea further into production. Because the brush concept works well for multiple brands and models, it's more realistic to bring the cost down in manufacturing compared to developing for a single brand or model. Contact us for more information! More info here: https://www.myinmotion.com/blogs/news/taking-solowheel-brush-into-mass-production

We haven't got an exact number of how many we can get from the factory for the first batch, but we'll ship out to customers according to our pre-order sequence, which means the earliest birds have a chance to be the first to receive the V10, the most powerful model that InMotion ever made, by April 20th. 15. Hey Guys, Finally got my V8 from @Jason McNeil in London UK at wheelgo.com. I can't recommend him enough. Him and his colleague Stefan have been so helpful, generous and patient before and after purchase. I was even able to learn to ride backwards on their beat-up IPS132 before getting my V8 and I'm glad I did! Thank you Jason and Stefan. I've rarely seen customer service like this. I love this wheel. The cut-off button and the trolley are indispensable. The thinness of the wheel and the nice size of the pedals also add a lot to the comfort, not to mention the safety of having a pedal height of 150mm for sharp turns. It's super responsive which is a must, especially with all these pedestrians in London. Here's my issue though. Every time I make a pronounced turn, the pedals lean forward a lot and STAY forward when I'm riding straight right after. I have to lean back for a short time to make them straight again. I'm guessing this is normal BUT I figured I could adjust the angle in the "turning and forwarding adjustment" menu in the app. It doesn't work. I've tried putting the wheel on sleep mode on its side but nothing works. Has anybody succeeded in adjusting how much forward the pedals lean when you turn? Thanks! Took me 6 hours to put the padding on the wheel haha. OCD to the rescue!

  22. Hi EUC riders: It has been a few years now since our owner Shane created Solowheel and brought it to Interbike in 2010, and users of this forum know better than anyone just how much the world of electric unicycles have progressed since then. We are honored to see how much joy this invention has brought to countless people all over the world, and we never expected to see such passion and dedication from the close-knit community this has grown to be today. Seeing how these magical devices have changed people’s lives, added euphoria to the most mundane portion of most commuters’ days, and given birth to some cutting-edge extreme sport riding has given Solowheel motivation to continue inventing. As you may know, we also came up with Hovertrax, aka the “hoverboard”, in 2015 when we saw some Solowheel riders having a bit of fun with 2 wheels, one on each foot. We all saw how that creation spread like wildfire (pun intended). More recently, in 2016 we came up with Lota in an effort to make an incredibly portable solution. In fact, we are still working on some out-of-the-box ideas today to make wheels for a wide variety of people and use cases. Our team has always been filled with creators who are obsessed with coming up with new concepts. Inventing is something rooted deep in our culture and our DNA. We have been focusing on new ideas instead of pushing new Solowheel hardware. As a result, a number of other manufacturers have proven just how far and fast we can go with electric unicycles and frankly, it’s incredible! As impressive as that has been to see, we still feel that there is a lot of work to be done to bring safety and quality up to the same high standard. Enthusiasts are very forgiving when it comes to issues like QC because they have a different set of priorities. We think everyone deserves a well-rounded product that is dependable and worry-free, as well as attentive and responsive service. We’ve always had a high bar for ourselves in overall experience, quality, and safety, but we still needed a strong partner to help take our ideas to the next level. We spent a lot of time and research to assess the quality of the current major players, and what we found was that InMotion stood out. Not only were we impressed by their current lineup, but after getting to know them, we found that we aligned in our philosophy. Both of us consider safety and quality our top priorities, and our respect for intellectual property bridged our relationship as we both highly value our integrity. At the beginning of 2017, we came to an oral agreement. Everything went very slowly at first because there was a lot of paperwork to transition the intellectual property, but now we are ready to announce our partnership and kick off 2018 with a bang. As many of you know, you can already see the beginning of our new relationship in the form of the new Glide series based on InMotion’s products. While they look mostly the same as the V series from InMotion, they do have updated firmware that feature an intelligent tilt-back system. Instead of being based on top speed, the safety tilt-back is only triggered by dynamic max output power data coming from the battery system. The result is a more streamlined and safer warning system that gives our riders full confidence. If it seems like we didn’t change much from InMotion’s V series, it’s because they had already developed a really refined wheel! So that was just our first small step together. We now have a couple of wheels in development, and we are excited to share those with you as soon as we are ready. A new partnership also means a new team! Solowheel HQ is now a happy resident of sunny San Diego, CA. As we turn over a new leaf, you’ll find that we are dedicated to providing a level of customer service that leaves no customer behind. More warranty options, no-hassle repair. All you have to do is reach out. We noticed that there are lots of struggles in this forum in regards to InMotion customers getting repair and service, so we will be offering repair service for those customers as well from now on. We know very well that Solowheel hasn’t always made the best impression on this forum in the past, but we are starting fresh. We hope you’ll all embrace our new philosophy of being more available and open to the community, and we would love to hear your feedback. Happy Holidays! Solowheel Team

  24. I hope this little tid-bit of information will save a few hours of grief for anyone who owns or plans to own a OnePlus Android phone and wants to use Wheellog, the official InMotion app, or probably any other high power drain app on it. OnePlus added a background monitoring process to their OxygenOS (enhanced Android build) they install on their phones. This process monitors for apps that are consuming a large amount of power in the background (background defined as the app is started but is not the current in use app or your phone's screen is off) and unceremoniously kills them without warning, clean shutdown, or notification. This is a cool concept but sometimes (like with Wheellog) you want these apps to run. Since I just upgraded from my 5 year old Xperia Z Ultra to a OnePlus 5T I had been unable to maintain Wheellog or the InMotion app for more than a few minutes after the screen went off or the app was pushed to the background and this background process was the cause. I'd start riding. The wheel would beep at loss of BT connection. My pebble would lose its data feed. I'd stop and look at my phone and the app would be nowhere to be seen. No error message. Starting the app again was like a fresh load with no metrics from the ride persisting. After hours of research and dicking about with settings that I though might be conflicting with the app I found the solution to prevent this from happening. You need to display the recent app screen (usually the right hand button on the bottom nav bar), find Wheellog (or the app in question) and tap the open padlock icon in the top right corner of the app card. (padlock closes). Officially this lock is meant to prevent the app card form being cleared when you use the "clear all" button in the recent app screen but it also has an undocumented feature of whitelisting the app from the background app monitoring process. Having locked the app today for the first time I completed a ride without losing connection to the wheel. Note that you can still close the app by double tapping the back button as usual. I hope this helps anyone who picks up this awesomely spec'ed reasonably priced flagship phone and wants to use it with their wheel.
  25. Hey guys, I've recently purchased V5F+ and have been riding it for a month. Feels really good, although I'm started to get annoyed by the danger-notification and speed limit. I heard some news that there will be new firmware to increase the speed from 25km/h to 27km/h... So any estimate on when this gonna be available? If there's no easy answer, does anyone know how to mute the danger-notification? The app doesn't do that, affects only other sounds unfortunately. You know, I can deal with tilt-backs, just when it screams out ''danger, please slow down" every 5 meters it kinda gets to nerves Anyway, I'd be grateful if someone could let me know if this possible. Thanks
