  3. Did you try to set the bars closer together by moving the position of the pin on the back? That should prevent the tire from touching the ground
  4. It's very hard if not impossible to do a good job at wrapping with vinyl if you want to cover the entire pedal. The borders always end up wrinkling up and ungluing no matter how much effort you put into stretching the vinyl correctly. It does help save it from scratches tho (if your vinyl is thick enough). The one i bought is this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B3C5O9K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  5. This is the same model of stand i use for my InMotion V8 (although i bought it in the store of MobilityUrban.fr): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018FCZKR2/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_10?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1AT7YVPFBWXBL I think it works great for the V8. You can see more pictures in this album, specifically the places where the EUC rests.
  7. Oh, for lighting solutions, i just remembered this other thread: Feel free to ignore the first two items in my list above
  8. I've been looking for ideas of how to improve my V8, but not being super-creative, i'm looking to see what people have already done to get an idea of how it might look and not have to spend too much time/money buying things/adapters/etc. The mods I'd personally be interested in seeing (in no particular order) how they were done specifically on a V8 are: Flashlight If possible, one that's removable and won't luck ugly when not attached (for example, during day rides). Perhaps something that uses a GoPro clip or something Rear brake light I'd be particularly interested in the kind that has sensors that constantly flash but only activate the light when they sense a decrease in speed. The closest thing I've seen is https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0793SBNRR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AXARW2PGUJAUJ&psc=1 but there's not much info online about how the back of the device works to see if it can be attached without too much trouble. Portable stand I would like to have something that can be attached to the V8 that can serve as a stand when doing short stops (ie. coffee shop, restaurant, etc.). I've seen the 3D-printed Stand Enlarger but I can't find any reviews of how well it works (and since I don't own a 3D printer, before going through the trouble of finding a way to test it myself, I thought I'd ask around) I've also seen this video of a heavily modded EUC where the stand is part of the decoration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=125&v=mRklDr4SFfw (I don't really expect anything as solid as this, but it's still a good example). There's also @Simon Tay's parking stand but I'd prefer something more low-key, perhaps something more like this other less stable but more conspicuous stand Other safety mods Something that would perhaps increase visibility while riding at night -- I'm not a big fan of the flashy colorful LED lights, so I'd feel inclined to keep them turned off as long as there are other ways of making myself visible without attracting too much attention. For example: black tape that shines white reflecting light, either in the body of the EUC or as a strip on the tire wheel? Other mods are also welcome!
  9. Oh SF... I kinda miss your craziness I had this happen to me on a motorcycle ride to work. She didn't really look crazy and i never understood what she meant or why she started kicking in my direction. I know i wasn't invading the pedestrian crossing (I hate people who do that) and I for sure couldn't have caught her by surprise since i was standing there for a few seconds before she showed up... Oh well... at least no foaming and no yelling. haha
  10. FWIW, @WARPed1701D mentioned that others had some luck changing the volume of the speakers in the InMotion app. I tried that, and right after when i connected with the WheelLog app, i was able to see all the information show up in my screen. Yay! Here's the link to the thread/comment where this was mentioned:
  11. Just wanted to share my recent experience: Bought my V8 Installed InMotion app. It works fine. (I also changed the PIN code from 0s to something else) Installed WheelLog from the App Store. It wouldn't connect to the wheel. I uninstalled it. I downloaded WheelLog_26082017.apk, installed it and tested it. This time, it *did* connect but the data shown was all empty. I uninstalled it. I downloaded WheelLog_27092017.apk, installed it and tested it. I was able to connect again but same issue as before. I uninstalled it. I installed the same APK again to see if it anything would improve but not really. I tested my InMotion app again and it still works. Some screenshots of step #6 and #7 Any suggestions?
  12. Yes, it works just fine. Odd right? I'll mention this issue in the other thread to see if there's anything else i can try.
  13. Nice! thanks for the screenshot. It does look very promising. Also thanks for the APK link. I tried visiting their website but Chrome won't let me open the site since their SSL certificate is expired and didn't bother trying to work around it. So, I uninstalled the previous version, installed this new one and I got the same issue as before: It connects, but nothing gets reported. See screenshots:
  14. Thanks for the info on Strava and the link to GeoTracker, @meepmeepmayer. I had completely missed that forum thread you linked to ("Which Map App"), so thanks for that too.
