  1. I dont know of a convenient way to export chat logs from Aliexpress so I just changed some CSS so I could take screen dumps of reasonable size and merge. I think there is a gap in the timeline with some boring questions around month 1-2. I didnt remove something to hide anything but I cba to fix it. Dont open and read this unless you are actually interested. Its not very interesting. the TLDR: Before ordering from the fraudulent "green and fashion travaling shop" (aka Chicway and other names) I asked them if they had the latest version. They had wheels in inventory but I wasnt sure which version. They assured me that they only had the latest version. I put an order a few hours later Then there was basically 5 months of them saying "please my friend have patience", then saying "it was sent today"/"it will be sent soon", repeated multiple times and without any notice of the fact that they just lied and said it would arrive. Its actually a little surreal for me to read. The latest iteration of "we sent it, get ready" was during my vacation when they where stressing me to call local logistics company to arrange delivery... I have 0 indication that anything was ever sent. No 3rd party validated anything was sent. I talked to both Spanish logistics company and the Swedish one. Neither had seen anything. Only empty transport orders that were never started with any real goods. After 5 months, due to market conditions the price of the wheel had increased a lot (about 1 000 USD if I remember correctly). Aliexpress website pushed me to either accept the order (without having gotten a wheel), or open a dispute. The seller asked for 10 more days (lol) and I managed to talk to customer service and get more time by spamming the stupid chat bot until I got to talk to a human. In the end the dispute went through. 5 months of locking a lot of money, 5 months of being lied to, 5 months and a summer without a wheel. But Im sure the seller was happy to sell the wheel for a higher price. This is a fraudulent seller. Not "bad service". Not "difficult to return". This is a person and a shop lying again and again and without any sense of ethics or morals. Did you get a wheel from them that you ordered? Great. Keep buying from this criminal.
  2. its ok. Keep talking about the "colloquial" definition of a tag of the thread while everyone else is talking about a problematic seller. Then if someone is confused and asks you what you mean... Dont mention the tag, ignore questions about the other parts of the sweeping statement you made and double down on the tag that no one is talking about. If you get your opponent to admit a mistake about the tag that no one has mentioned, you win. Congratulations and good luck in your future endeavors
  3. Yes about the tag I was wrong so I admitted it. You should try it also. Its not so scary.
  4. Oh ok mybad I didnt see that tag. So there is a thread with 50+ comment. None mentioning scam. Did you read the thread? Were you aware that you were the only one writing about "scam"? You make a general and sweeping comment about a lot more than "scam" (which I commented on and you conveniently ignored) but you stick to the tag that no one mentioned
  5. The title of this thread is "PSA: Stay away from Chicway.shop for ordering EUC". It doesnt mention "scam". If you search this thread I think you will find only you and one other member even using that word. Neither your original comment nor this thread is specifically and only about "scam". This is obviously a thread warning people of a certain seller. Your original comment, which is not addressed to anyone specific and mentions e.g. "this idea they're hiding something and it's a conspiracy is just more BS". Even the word "conspiracy" is only used by you here. Thats why I replied with a question, since perhaps you misunderstood the thread or something. Instead you answer with your "colloquial" definition of the word "scam" lol
  6. I dont think you understood what I wrote. My comment was about you entering a thread of multiple users complaining about a seller and you defending that seller by using the argument that you got what you ordered and therefore the other complaints must be BS.
  7. That's an opinion about the actions of the buyer in one particular case. Those who draw general conclusions about the seller based on that transaction (and/or a transaction of their own), in a thread with multiple other complaints against that seller, might not be that much smarter than the buyer they just scolded. If you have some general principle about not buying stuff on the interwebs, or if you generally distrust Chinese people and you want to go into a thread that tries to flag a fraudulent seller and gloat about how you only buy local I guess go ahead... but its a different topic.
  8. Ye Im not surprised. I am, however, surprised by how multiple users in this thread join the conversation to question stories about serious problems with the argument that they got what they ordered and "people should do their research". Humans will be human, I guess.
  9. Just curious, how do you link MrRide to Chicway? Id like to verify that the fraudster from Chicway really is the same as MrRide
  10. Wait what..? Is this account from the AliExpress store called Chicway? EDIT: I dont want to argue with you, I just want to tell the truth. (again, if it is really you, from the fraudulent Chicway / green and fashion travail shop) Where'd you go? Are you only interested in talking if you think you have an easy case? You run away when you know you're the fraud?
  11. What are you basing your comment on? Are you calling others "out of line" and "BS"ing because you happened to receive your two orders? Is this a joke?
  12. Based on my EXN... you just look for Bluetooth devices on ur phone, switch on the wheel and there will be a name with "Gotway" and "music" in it (also with some other BS characters, probably unique to ur wheel). I.e. there are two possible BT connections, one is "control center" and the other is "speaker".
  13. You are probably right. I just dont love the "foam look"
  14. Hey, thanks a lot for this design! I just got a 3d printer and before I spend too much time trying to learn Fusion 360 and printing with TPU I would love some feedback on a thought I had. Since I am new to all this (and because I am me ) I will try to be clear with my assumptions and potential solution. Assumption 1: A print with "standard print parameters", even with TPU, results in a durable but not sufficiently soft pad. Assumption 2: The critical zone for "softness" is where chins press for acceleration (i.e. not breaking/calves and not around feet/heel). Hypothesis: Make the design trade-off between "durable" and "soft" modular by adding thin slices/fins where the chin presses. Im thinking maybe 1-2mm thick and... 5-10mm high? A balance between durability and softness again, but for the fins we can lean more towards softness as long as its printable and doesnt break after 10 km. Is there "too thin" in terms of not giving the chins enough resistance before bending or will the ability of the printer/design be the limit? I guess nozzle width is min width but that seems like it would break after very little use. I guess printing angle would be important, but since I assume (assumption #3 ) pads should be printed as if the printing surface was the wall of the wheel, slices/fins that are perpendicular to the chins should be fairly easy to print, even if thin? More funky perhaps would be some kind of mesh pattern with "pillars" rather than slices. I imagine a lot harder to print and design. Shouldnt this improve "softness"? Not enough? Will it break? Too difficult to print? Why has it not already been tried? "Just use foam" aka KISS?
  15. I have only ridden about 600km (ie still learning/changing a lot) but have often found myself standing with left foot further ahead and right more back. Perhaps just 1-2cm difference. That way I can get semi-strong acceleration if I just move my hip forward with straight(ish) upper body and wright more on left side (rather than lean with head in front), while getting better braking on right side. Pure leaning at high speed and technical riding (without pads) kills my muscles. I also sometimes experiment with a technique from some youtuber who was a proponent of standing on your toes of one foot. I havent really found the value in that (yet?), but sometimes its nice to "lock" a foot almost like a ballerina and then press on the pedal with that side's thigh. Doesnt feel optimal long term, but as a way to rest other muscles it can be ok.
