  1. I agree. If the suspension is that big of a game changer this could be a good deal. We'll see what KS comes out with this week though. Exciting times for new EUCs.
  2. Did a lot of grass/dirt riding and feel much better on concrete because of it. Definitely want to hit easy MTN bike trails in a few weeks
  3. This so-called article is like "what not to do when writing an EUC article".
  4. https://activexsports.com/electric-unicycles/ I literally can't even...
  5. After a lot of successive bumps/hits if the suspension gets out of sync you can have a dangerous pogo effect. Sorta like a tank slapper on a bike. If they designed it for off-road then I'm sure they took this into consideration. That being said no suspension setup is ever perfect.
  6. Dang going up the curb looked pretty effortless there. I wonder how quickly the suspension rebounds after the initial damping.
  7. Looks interesting. I will have to see reviews for sure. The suspension is exciting. I don't mind the design but still think the MSX and Z10 are the best looking wheels.
  8. Just ordered a new Pebble Time for $60 shipped. Will report back here after I set it up.
  9. Holy responses Batman! Haha thanks everyone I really appreciate chiming in on my new thread. I do realize I'm contributing to the problem of thread black holes. Looks like the Pebble is the way to go for cheap easy solution. Off to eBay! Thanks for all the knowledge. This forum and community rocks.
  10. Hey riders. I know there are a lot of threads on this but I was hoping to get a few specific opinions from y'all and not wade through a bunch of threads. While learning to ride the biggest need I have is to be able to check speed, battery, change songs, and read time quickly and safely. The phone is not safe for me and takes concentration off the road for too long. I just downloaded the EUC World app. I have an older Motorola Z2 Play (planning to upgrade to S10 later this year) Looking to get a decent and cheaper <$200 smartwatch with EUC World connectivity. I'd prefer a more active style. No metal bands for me. Anyone have a watch they love or at least one that gets the job done for less than $200? Samsung, FItBit, etc. Cheers everyone and stay safe during this crazy time!
  11. My practice ride today. Smoothest I've ever been. Good transitions and riding across bumpy grass fields, dirt paths and low speed turns. Felt more comfortable than ever. Good stuff. I feel like every day I get back on the wheel I'm way better. Fun progression!
  12. I'm 6' 1" and weigh 215 lbs. I got the F to haul my big frame around. I'll do more grass work today. The pedals are definitely getting pretty scarred from concrete fails.
  13. I believe the initial production run had these issues. I don't remember the affected serial number prefix. I researched this a bit before buying my V10F. If it's a new V10 from the latest runs you should be fine.
  14. This should be fun. The first new EUC release since I started following these things. Will be interesting to see how much it competes with MSX and 18L.
  15. Still getting out when I can. Went for the longest ride yet...2 miles or so. Trying to get used to the wheel and subtle changes in input. Trying to relax my feet and not tense. Getting a few wobbles when pushing it but able to slow down. Do people recommend you ride with your toes pointed out a bit? I've seen that in some videos. I keep my toes tight in to the shell but I feel like that might be tensing me up. I'm practicing braking (need to be quicker with it), turning and going over small transitions in pavement. Have the limiter at 20 mph. Haven't really pushed that yet in my neighborhood. Need a more wide open stretch. Wearing wrist guards, knee guard, and mips mtn bike helmet. I have a full face for when I get more daring. I can definitely see wearing a moto jacket or armor when confidence goes up. Offroad is my ultimate goal.
  16. Today it clicked!!! It clicked for me really fast. I used a stroller a couple times then ditched it. I can now mount with either foot and go as far as I want. Got up to 15 mph and went around the block a few times without stopping, u-turns are no problem just not too sharp and not great at carving yet. Being a motorcycle rider helps so much with the "look where you want to go" principle. It's the exact same thing on a motorbike. Loving it! Will get a video going soon. @Phong Vu you were right about ditching the cart/stroller. You have to just get going and keep your head up. Good stuff.
  17. Nice work! You need a helmet though my friend. Yeah so far the key for me is to get up to speed to keep my balance easier. I haven't gotten the acceleration down yet. I'm not too worried about the wheel getting messed up. I have the inmotion cover on it and that helps. Gonna practice more today!
  18. Learning update: Well rain and Coronavirus postponed my plans a bit but I finally got on the wheel yesterday. Totally awesome and totally hard! I can tell the insides of my leg are gonna be bruised for a bit. I love the feeling of the wheel though. I put it at 42.5 psi and practiced at the local school for a while. Its a little nerve-racking to get up to enough speed to be more stable. I was able to go about 30 ft unassisted after an hour or so. I got the "circle one foot control" exercise down. I'm going to try on grass and practice with a jogging stroller to go faster today. Can't wait to get better at this. Such an unique sensation and it feels more futuristic, smoother, (and safer) than my One Wheel. Definitely happy with my decision to get into this sport!
  19. These are awesome videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them. New rider on V10F here and the videos are helping me a lot!
  20. I normally just ride the American River bike trail and the dirt trails along it. Lake Natoma has good dirt trails.
  21. Thanks! Looking forward to picking it up quickly...hopefully.
  22. First day on an EUC will be tomorrow or Sunday depending on weather. Will report back on how much I suck..
  23. Greetings riders. I have a new V10 coming in the mail tomorrow (Thanks eWheels for a great deal!) I'm coming from an old OneWheel plus and can't wait to learn an EUC. I'm interested to see what skills translate or if I'll have to learn to walk all over again. Excited to try a new way to ride! Any tips?
