  1. Don't wanna get a UUI
  2. What do you think caused the cutout, just random or was it due to sitting? I know many people including myself who ride sitting at faster speeds.
  3. I can confirm newer ones unlock after 10km
  4. It has 2 different alarms, the "please decelerate" and the "caution overpower" alarm. I hit the please decelerate somewhere around 29mph (I use euc world for tracking: https://euc.world/tour/584130522672009) and I hit the overpower alarm if I'm really leaning into a hill or if I'm at a lower battery and leaning in. I was under the impression that it was the 1.06 firmware that slowed everything down and they reverted the slowdown to somewhat normal in 1.07.
  5. I have my warning at 30mph and my tiltback at 31mph. I hit it rather frequently while riding without any stability issues. I think it comes down to the rider. I've tried a few peoples 16x's after they said that it felt unstable at high speed, and I didn't have any problems when I tried.
  6. It looks like its got pockets for your ankles to grab it. Excited to jump with it!
  7. I noticed this issue when I had a previous issue with my charger not turning the wheel off when it was done charging. For some reason my stock charger just kept the wheel barely powered even once it was done charging (charger light was green). So nothing was on except the red light you can see through the shell. And if I picked it up by the handle it would flash the light for a brief second. But I have the variable fast charger from ewheels with a hard shutoff so it's no longer an issue.
  8. I like the idea of velcroing the seat. Thanks for sharing!
  9. I've got +1200 miles on my 16x now and hit ~29mph pretty much every ride. I haven't had any cutouts and thoroughly believe that this is the best wheel if you are fine with a 30mph top speed.
  10. I got the fast charger from ewheels and its fixed my issue. I see the amps decrease slowly down to nothing once it gets closer to 100% but once it reaches that point the charger shuts off and the wheel fully powers down. No more midnight beeps!
  11. I mean I'm all for treating batteries properly but that's rather annoying. I think I may get a fast charger from ewheels because even if it doesn't fix the trickle. It will be done fully charging before I have to go to bed lol. BTW anyone have any explanations to what changes in the lighting modes? I'm trying to use the app but I don't see much difference between them.
  12. May be a silly question but when I am charging my wheel with the stock 1.5 amp charger the wheel turns on and connects to bluetooth. It will then stay on in a weird sleeper mode. There is a red light glowing from the inside that stays on even when I unplug it. This wouldn't really be an issue except that for some reason it seems to randomly beep 5 times in the middle of the night. I know for a fact that it does this while plugged in and fully charged. So I assume it has something to do with the cells balancing maybe? Anyone else have this issue? I also live in a studio so I can't put it in a different room.
  13. I got mine 2 weeks ago from ewheels. I asked and they said that everything should be updated and fine. On a different note, I didn't realize that they updated the side pads so the top one is thicker. A nice improvement.
  14. If the wheel is locked and you're having trouble getting the app to work (kept crashing on startup after I downloaded it from the google play store on android), I found that downloading it directly from Kingsong's website gave me a stable version of the app.
  15. Thanks for sharing, these are perfect for me! My other knee pads are always so bulky they take up half the space in my bag.
  16. I'm in a similar boat picking between the Nikola and 16x. I got a really beat up Tesla for very cheap and I've since ridden 700 miles (wheel total is 2200). I've been wanting to upgrade for QoL improvements as I mostly use my Tesla for my commute. It doesn't have a lift sensor, the peddles are small and can get uncomfortable on longer rides (my commute is 7.8 miles). Speed wise I usually peak at 28ish and have an average riding speed of 18mph according to darknessbot. I also currently go to college and need to take my wheel into buildings and classrooms and into my apartment complex where I need to open my front door, go up a short set of stairs, then open another door, then go to my apartment so having a lift sensor that I can effectively use with 1 hand is rather important. I have had the opportunity to ride both a little bit (no extended tests yet), just around a parking lot/streets and I prefer the way the 16x feels. Personally the Nikola feels really bulky and boat-like to me, while the 16x feels closer to my maneuverable Tesla. However, in comparison there seem to be a lot of issues with the 16x that are making me hesitant. I do bring my Tesla up to 30 at times so it starts beep and I'm comfortable at 30 but I don't think going above that is a needed requirement for me. I just don't want to be thrown off and fall. I'm also 5'11" and 165-170lbs if that makes a difference
  17. I'm a super noobie but I'm trying to decide between the Nikola or 16x. I've ridden both and I prefer the feel of the 16x but I like doing more in depth research about other peoples experiences. But I do feel like there is some bias towards Gotway (from what I've seen since I've joined). For example I don't get the comparison saying that the Nikola+ is better than the 16X. It obviously is because the Nikola+ is 100v and $500 more expensive. For me its between the Nikola 84v and the 16x, cause spec wise they seem the same.
