  1. really enjoying the unlocked firmware, but now i'm craving more battery as well. it seems i only get about 5-7 miles of spirited riding at near top speed before it starts progressively limiting me. does this seem low to anyone else? granted its around 32f/0c here at the moment so that could have something to do with it. i only weight 145lb though edit: also wondered if the z10 has any thermal speed-throttling. like if you're pushing it really hard, or in really hot weather, whether the wheel will automatically throttle speed to keep temperatures in check?
  2. hey guys, just got a z10 and have ridden a couple days so far (first euc). Today after stopping in somewhere for a bit, I hopped back on the wheel and after a while, to my surprise, I realized I was riding it backwards! I hopped off and rode it the correct way, and then I realized it felt a little different. So on my way home I stopped periodically to try it backwards or forwards to see if I could determine what was different and why. It may be my imagination, but it seems that the "neutral" angle is a little different with the wheel backwards. It also seemed more stable, less prone to wobbles. I tried to look up on the forums if anyone had anything to say about riding the wheel opposite-way, but all I could find were people talking about riding backwards, ie: actually moving in reverse. anyways if I continue to find ride quality preferable with the wheel in the wrong orientation, I cant see any reason (unless its raining and I want the mudguard to be functional) to not ride it this way. thoughts?
  3. ok, im seeing the "real" mcm5's with the 800wh batteries for about $1100, and the teslas for only $100 more. I'll probably just save up for one of those...
  4. Hi folks, looking to purchase my first wheel and came across some gotway mcm5's on aliexpress for $450. Seemed too good to be true so upon further research I determined that these are coming with a 170wh battery. Otherwise is this real? And could it be an otherwise great wheel to tool around on and learn on with just a very limited range? Does the smaller battery effect performance as well or just range? Thanks! https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33028433646.html?spm=2114.10010108.1000014.1.622f704erI7VDy&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreOtherSeller&scm=1007.13338.132444.000000000000000&scm_id=1007.13338.132444.000000000000000&scm-url=1007.13338.132444.000000000000000&pvid=43d9a58a-9903-47ff-aa3b-fb449bd62e0c
  5. Hi Doug I'm in Sedona and am interested. It appears that with my new account I can't send private messages though?
