Nur so als Anmerkung: ich wurde in Augsburg von der Verkehrspolizei angehalten, an den Normalen bin ich auch oft vorbei gefahren ohne das etwas passiert ist. Also in Bayern einfach schwarze BMWs mit getönten Scheiben vermeiden... ?

Lange nicht mehr gemeldet – bei mir kam gar keine Zahlungsaufforderung. Irgendwann kam auch der Bescheid dass es gestoppt wird wegen "Geringfügigkeit", aber dass die Tat als Ordnungswidrigkeit geahndet wird. Hätte mWn bedeutet das ich einen Strafzettel bekomme, dies ist aber bisher nicht geschehen. Auch ich verzichte nun in der Heimat mein Rad zu fahren, nutze es als Ausrede in Frankreich zu fahren (ist halt weit weg) oder auf dem Land wo sicherlich keine Polizei ist. Ist alles sehr ärgerlich, wünschte es würde sich etwas bewegen, aber es tut sich nun ewig nichts.

Wie zum Beispiel bei mir: war zwar mit einer guten Geschwindigkeit unterwegs, aber mit Helm und Licht im Industriegebiet Augsburgs (also keine Gefährdung von Fußgängern oder Verkehrs da dort wirklich gerade niemand sonst unterwegs war). Gut, fuhr auf dem Gehweg, aber in angesicht dass kurz darauf (als ich angehalten wurde) ein Fahrrad auch auf dem Gehweg vorbei fuhr schien das kein Problem zu sein. Denke auch das freundlich sein zu den Polizisten auch hilft, können ja erstmal nichts dafür dass die Gesetze in DE hinterher sind... (bei ihrem freundlich gemeinten Vorschlag, warum ich mir denn nicht einfach einen Roller kaufe habe ich dann aber schon etwas an mich halten müssen ) Ja, Laune verdorben. Hier fahre ich nicht mehr, das eine Jahr halte ich noch aus (und fahre derweil auf Privatgrund und im Ausland wo es schon legal ist).

Dürfte ich aus naheliegenden Anlass da etwas nachhacken? War es ein allgemeiner Text, etwas Fallbezogenes? Ich warte mal noch auf die erste Rückmeldung der Ordnungshüter, aber je nachdem wie sich das entwickelt werde ich wohl auch mal sicherheitshalber zu einen Anwalt gehen...

So, mich hat die Polizei in Augsburg erwischt. Mein armes KS 16 würde direkt sichergestellt, aber mit den versprechen dass ich es wiederbekomme sobald getestet wurde das es tatsächlich schneller als 6 km/h fährt. Führerschein vorhanden, Versicherung natürlich nicht, bin also gespannt wie das weitergeht...

Hm, I could just go the whole way and strip anything that isn't hexadecimal. That would allow entry with dashes too for example. Ideally I'd detect the used separator and reuse it when printing the output again... Something for a free minute over the next weekend.

I considered that, but the algorithm works on pairs, and splitting by ':' automatically works correctly. The code has kind of gotten not as pretty as planned anyway, so possibly next time I'll look into that again. For now it works. Yes. Without unlocking the KS 16 for example can not be set to allow speeds of up to 30 km/h. Unless unlocked it will start tiltback at 20km/h, which is actually pretty slow all things considered. I have an average of around 23 km/h for now, just as an example.

Fixed an issue where inputting the MAC without the ':' resulted in incorrect ISN and unlock code. MAC and ISN are now internally formatted correctly as long as either a) no ':' is used or b) ':' is used.

And updated. Please let me know if it still works as I'll only be able to test it myself in 3 weeks.. Hope my changes are okay, if something needs an update let me know / push another update!

Maybe we should update the website with either an explanation or an optional extra step so you can input the Bluetooth MAC address and it reverses and calculates everything for you. I'll look into it sometime if no one else is faster.

Suggestion: are you aware of Github pages? You could create an organisation for the webpage (I wouldn't host it under your main account as each Github user only gets one page) and thus make it available as a service. I've been so forward and set it up here as an example: http://kingsongunlocker.github.io/ The Github organization so that this works is here. If you want to host it yourself / take control over the Github org just tell me, I'll transfer it to you / remove it.

Ehm... is that supposed to be hard? Because I do that almost every day with my Q3 here in Ulm, including tram tracks, hills, and cobblestones.
