  1. Agreed on this. New wheels have a bad enough reputation already. Would rather see IM take the time to work out all those kinks & production issues to deliver a reliable product.
  2. Mine have this as well. However it requires an external unit to wear around my chest, can't store more than 10 bluetooth profiles & has a proprietary interface to my hearing aides. On top of that it would require me to wear hearing aides under a helmet which is impossible due to my electroncis being "large"/external to my ear (I need more amplification than "in ear" hearing aides can provide). Even worse is the bluetooth unit must be programmed by an audiologist and the non-repalceable battery lasts MAYBE 2 years. My device started malfunctioning before the battery did. The replacement is $300+programming fee. I didn't bother.
  3. The problem is my hearing aides do not just "increase volume", but rather increase volumen based on frequency, and adjust in real time. Depending what frequency the beeps are at I may not be able to hear it at all unless the speaker has that sort of adjustment. In the meantime my currently solution works fairly well.
  4. On my nik+ I set tiltback at 40km/h. On my v10 I set tiltback at 30-32km/h I wear my android phone on my inner forearm so I can see speed whenever I want. Both precautions seem to work great. The bonus to having the phone on my forearm is I can stop and then text my wife & don't need to take off gloves/wristguards to do it. I also can't get used to headphones/earbuds at all. I've had hearing aid molds made to my exact ear shape for 30+ years already. Anything else is uncomfortable.
  5. I don't hear much of anything outside my helmet. I have a very large amount of hearing loss.
  6. No room for headphones in my full faced motorcycle helmet, unfortunately.
  7. I've pretty much given up over going more than 32-33km/h, never ride under 30% battery, and never do hard acceleration when I'm already at 20km/h+. I can't hear anything from the speakers, period, with my hearing aides out. *knock on wood* No cut-outs in ~ 2000+km of riding so far.
  8. Back on the v12 front - has anyone seen definitive pricing/release date? Did I miss it in this thread? I've only seen speculation....
  9. I've known people here who already won't buy small motorcycles (say 150kg or less) as two guys can pick it up & toss it in the back of their panel van in 5 minutes. Doesn't matter if there is a software/hardware lockout as it will get chopped and sold for parts. I don't think you'll ever be able to leave your EUC outside for any extended period of time until there are lockboxes everywhere that you can leave it inside (similar to like bank vault). They are just too small, portable, etc.
  10. If this launches above $2500 this is a hard no-buy for me. $2k is already stretching it...
  11. So I guess the real reason - why is it different? Considering is 20km/h is slower than a bicycle. I can do 25-30km/h on a bicycle on flat ground and I'm out of shape.
  12. Is it ths same for cars? The fastest legal speed in my state is 70mph = 112km/h but my car (stock) can do 240km/h. You aren't in violation unless the you are actually exceeing 70mph. Likewise my motorcle hits about 100km/h in 1st gear. I often drive around the highways in Chicago where the max limit is 88km/h
  13. I find it extremely frustrating that Inmotion is making the wheel I bought from Gotway 12 mo ago. I was VERY happy with my V10 (even with "limited' range) but wanted something with more battery, same 16" size and 100v for more instantaenous power and headroom around 25mph. I bought a Nik+ which came with 1/2 of the handle lift sensor broken out of the box that I never bothered to fix as I don't want to take the wheel apart. I rarely go over 25mph and typically cruise in the 18-23 range. Inmotion is releasing the exact wheel I was looking for 12 months ago..
  14. I give up on you bro. Stll moving the goal posts. The dicussion was about treating an EUC like motorcycle. It can park in small spots like a motorcycle and that is about it. $ for $ it is the losing solution compared to a motorcyle AS YOU TRY TO MAKE IT AS BIG AS A MOTORCYCLE. As long as it's smaller & more nimble & you can carry it on a train or s bus, or stick it under your seat, it has more uses. Now you brought in bicycles after bringing in casrs & I'm sure you'll move onto drones carrying us next. I'm out. I"m not repeating myself because you'll move the goalposts agian. Thanks for playing.
  15. Yeah but we comparing new to new. A car has way more maintenance items and can't be parked in a small space.. It's not comparable. Besides the comparison earlier in the discussion was a euc to a "one wheeled motorcycle" hence I"m comparing it to an actual motorcycle. As it gets bigger, heavier, and less portable there will be less & less people interested in it. At the same price, it's going to: - take longer to charge - have less range - have less stability - cost the same or more. It's a losing battle and you know it. Let's imagine a sherman 2 with 150 mile range, weighs 150 pounds & can max go 70mph, and costs $5k. At 70mph say the range falls to 100 miles. Why would I buy this over a ninja 400 at $4,599 (MSRP and street is going to be less)? Where is it going to practically go that a motorcycle can't? Can you lift it up stairs? Maybe if you are super strong. Maybe you can trolley it to an elevator & your desk? MAYBE. How do I get it up the front stairs to my house or apartment? How do I quick fill it like a motorcycle so I can take off again? Can I take it on the highway? Nope, still gotta use the slow roads where I don't have to use that with my motorcycle. It's simply a losing propostion in most cases compared to an actual motorcycle.
  16. You can get cheap, highly capable highway ready motorcycles for $4k new. Why would I want a one wheel, heavy, non-portable "motorcycle" for probably the same price or more? The main benefit is > walking/running/jogging speeds & portability when not riding. What "top end" unicycle is ever going to compete (even safetywise, or speedwise) with a ninja250 & cost less?
