I'm in for France (Paris) again or London or Berlin...???

Id love to offer London but the attitude of the police here makes it risky sadly. Having ridden around london quite a bit i can say that Paris wins hands down when it comes to places to ride, bike paths and police attitude. The french guys made it super fun too.

How cool would it be to set aside one weekend a year for everyone to meet up in one location ?? Pick a city each year and we all descend upon it like an electric plague . Lol. @outcast00096 you’re “top 5 people you’d like to ride with” post got me thinking ..why not make our dreams a reality !

I would've thought the BEST time and place for this would be Paris on that one day each year (usually between late September and early October) where the whole city goes car free

You could make a weekend/coupla days around that. One day for meet 'n' greet, drinking, socialising. And then the actual day itself.

Non stop from North Carolina to Paris is same $ and time as flight to California.

my vote is now leaning towards meet up in Paris.

Really ? What airline? Price quoted ? My only issue with Paris would be the additional 2 tickets I’d need to buy

. Me: “Honey , I’m going to fly Cali for the weekend to meet up with the guys from the EUC forum .

Wife: “okay babe, have fun, call me when you touch down . Have fun and be safe .

Me: Honey, I’m flying to Paris for a few days to meet up with the guys from the EUC forum “

Wife: “Like hell you are . If you’re  going to Paris then so are we . (Probably many more expletives and yelling than I’m conveying here )

I will lobby to persuade all to make sure the two events dont coincide on the same weekend and then you can attend both!:clap3:

regional meet ups would be good too.y’all could come to the ranch with ur new onez’s and pitch a tent(or there’s hotels nearby for the civilized)and do pasture riding. just sign waivers and next of kin. ya still gotta deal with the animals.

leave ur significant other if u have one at the outlet mall.

I just posted a Meetup for Washington DC, which is in the middle of the east coast (USA), and pretty central to both the west coast (USA) and Europe (I believe?).  It's scheduled for Sun. Apr. 15th @ 2pm.  Feel free to leverage that event / weekend for an EUC Meetup Convention.  Average historical temperature for that date in DC is 67 Fahrenheit (19.4 Celsius).  So we'll have nice cool spring temperatures, right after the cherry blossoms bloom.

Come join us!  Here's the link... https://www.meetup.com/ewheelgroup/events/248545958/

Edit:  I also wanted to add that Washington DC is very EUC friendly with statutes that support our device!

I'm going to presume by the lack of response that people are not interested in leveraging Washington DC as a convention location.  If not this time around, I hope that people (especially east coasters) will consider it as a possible option for the future (for the good reasons I listed below in my previous post).  For the ride coming up (see link below), we already have 11 riders RSVP'd.  @Holt, DC is really not that far away from Raleigh (4 hours).  I hope to see some of you there!

@J.T. I’m digging into my schedule today and making my plan.

I must admit that the idea of hand delivering my tax return along w a festive hand jester while riding my wheel down Independence Ave just might be near the top of my bucket list.

cheers!

@Holt, haha too funny.  If you are able to make it, please RSVP at the link I provided, as I sometimes post updates on the event posting and email them out to the yes RSVPs.  I hope to have you join us!

Just a friendly reminder for our ride next Sun. Apr. 15th.  We currently have 22 people signed up.  @Holt (and any other lurkers from out of the DC area), all we need is you to join us for this to technically be considered an "EUC Convention."  Also,  cherry blossom peak forecast is currently targeted for April 8 - 12, so our ride is right in line with the bloom.  So coming into town to also enjoy the cherry blossoms!

Just a final friendly reminder for our ride this Sun. Apr. 15th... https://www.meetup.com/ewheelgroup/events/248545958/ .  @Holt, I have faith you (or anyone else from out of the area) will be able to join us.  We currently have 23 people joining us.  Don't forget to sign up as I usually post updates and email them out to the yes RSVPs.  I look forward to seeing you there!

FYI, this ride was rescheduled due to rain to Sat. May 12th.  I hope a Saturday (vs. a Sunday) will work better for those people considering coming from out of town.  Average historical temperature for that date in DC is a lovely 74 Fahrenheit (23.3 Celsius).  We've got 23 people currently signed up.  So better weather and day of week.  I'm doing my best to make this EUC convention happen for our community.  Anyone available and interested in joining us on the new date?

What makes this so difficult is that we can't fly with our wheels. So most people would be limited by a few hundred mile radius, I suspect.

We'll probably have better luck organizing regional meetups.

What you need is people with RV's/trailers.  Or maybe hotel rooms?
