Inmotion V8 distance statistics

Also posted this as a reply on another thread, sorry for that but I guess it’s valuable information for Inmotion V8 owners or buyers.

Some Inmotion V8 statistics,

Today I did a new test, and drove around 17 km/h. My weight is 96 kg. And had strong headwind in the beginning and strong tail wind at the end (more side wind than tail).

No hills, all flat land. With a few tiny bridges and stops, mostly traveling around 24 km on average. I put the tiltback down from 30 km/h to 25 km/h.

I used darknessbot to track my ride (no export function and gps?)

Quick summary:

  1. Distance 17.1 km
  2. Battery left 31%
  3. Predicted remaining 9.3 km
  4. Average speed 22.6 km/h
  5. Outside temperature was 15 degrees Celsius
  6. Strong wind

Battery indicator was on, yellow-red and my speed was being limited slowly. Was still pleasant to drive. My gut feeling tells me that I could drive another 5 km safely. Which would total the maximum distance at 22 km (could be more)

Here are all the screenshots of the app:

Hope you get some feeling about the distance that can be traveled with this machine. Maybe with other conditions you can travel further...

A nice report, thanks! I get similar results from my V8 at that speed, distance and weight (carrying a backpack) with a slight variation depending on weather. One important range factor is the tire pressure: I have gradually raised mine over the year to somewhere between 45 and 50 psi which initially made the wheel squirrely but that gets ironed out when you adapt.

How can you adjust the Tilt back... my V8 only allows me to adjust top speed, the tilt back i cannot do it separately.

Thanks

I ment top speed sorry, which results in tiltback to be set at lower speed also.

So max speed was set at 25 km/h which results the tiltback to be kicked in at around 23 km/h I think.

Group riding with Ninebot riders (Ninebot Elite, Ninebot One E+, Ninebot One A1, Ninebot Mini Pro). So it was a slow ride and many pit stops for them to charge their batteries. But in the end, I was kinda surprised looking at my distance with NO single charge at all in the process. I didn't even bring my charger along. :whistling:

And all that with a single runtime of 9 hours! 50 km? And still 10 km to go? Impressive... how?

The biggest advantage here is my weight, 65 kg.

Average speed was around 15 - 18 kph considering the weakest units were 2 Ninebot One A1. Mostly flat asphalt terrain with few uphills. Those 9 hours including several pit stops for their charging while I kept my V8 powered on all the time.

Those are some rock solid miles! Think I will lower my speed to 5 mph...

LOL... it's all about physics anyway. D=vt. Just ride it however you enjoy it man!

Thanks, i though that would be possible to adjust them both separately... would be great in that case.
