Mine came loose and I lost it. I ordered a new one, but kept riding in the meantime. One evening I found myself out 5 miles from home as it began to rain more and more heavily. I was sure the water would get in the open port and turn my wheel to toast. Fortunately I was chewing a big wad of gum at the time and I used it to make little improvised port cover!
