Ninebot App is dependent on internet (epic design failure)

Recommended Posts

Today when setting off on a ride I noticed that my Ninebot app was asking me to log in and it would not let me.  Instead I got a message telling me that the app was down due to server maintenance for 2 days.  I can't believe they actually designed the app in such a way that when they do maintenance on their servers the app cannot be used at all.  We cannot check our speed, our remaining mileage or make changes to the ride settings.  And if you just received a new MiniPro today, you will not be able to activate it and ride it for two days.  A device that we bought and own should not block us from being able to check its battery life or change the steering settings because the manufacturer's servers are down in some other country.

I used DarknessBot once with my Ninebot One, but does it connect to the MiniPro and allow the user to adjust settings like ride firmness and steering bar sensitivity?
